I went for the Steak a la Tampiquena, a plate that should be a love letter to Mexico’s northern flavors. And while it didn’t quite have the smoky kiss of a true open-fire asador, it had soul—tender, well-seasoned, paired with sides that felt like a warm handshake. My date’s Seafood Platter was fresh, generous, and straight-up comforting, like something you'd dig into on a lazy Sunday by the Gulf. The service? Friendly, never rushed. The atmosphere? A little lively, a little laid-back—just the way I like it. Could it have had a bit more of that deep, earthy magic you find in Mexico’s finest kitchens? Sure. But did it leave me satisfied, grinning, and ready for another round? Oh, you bet. I'll be back with more friends. ”
“ Came here with the family and I was not disappointed. I ordered 2 tongue tacos and 2 sopes with al pastor meat. They were exquisite! Both items were really fresh and delicious. My wife had a combo of chile rellenos (stuffed peppers) and enchiladas that were accompanied with rice and beans. Then my son had a quesadilla that also came with rice and beans. I'm not really sure why people are complaining about the portion size but we had to take some of the food with us. We also came on a Sunday evening, so not sure if the lunch portions are smaller. I'll definitely come back here as the staff were friendly and on point. Highly recommend! ”
“ Let me tell ya, the food is authentic and awesome Mexicano!!!!! The service is friendly and unobtrusive. You come in, seat yourself and someone promptly services you. The portions are great and the price is right. We had the seafood soup (loaded with seafood and veggies) and the burrito supreme (also loaded with goodness). The Mexicano sampler and the stuffed jalapenos are phenomenal as well. ”
